So when a "flash cove"-that's Cockney slang for a well-dressed gentleman-offers her five pounds to break into the wagon of a traveling magician and report on what she sees there, Kim leaps at the chance.and finds herself caught up in a world of magic, betrayal, and murder that will take her far from those bad London streets. Though she's supremely handy at picking locks, theft isn't really her career choice either.but a girl's gotta eat somehow.
